The Analyst Desk

Analysts vs. Iron Tuna

Where the most-followed fantasy analysts sit against consensus, where our auction values land next to them, and why we agree or disagree. Their side is always a dated, sourced position. Our side is always computed off the live board.

How to read this. An analyst being above consensus is not the same as being above us. Iron Tuna’s shipped values are already blended toward the sportsbook lines, so on plenty of players we are the ones off consensus. “Above consensus” here always means above the projection set the site treats as the baseline, not above our price.

Where their numbers come from. One specific, dated position per analyst, quoted only as far as the argument needs and cited on the story it appears in. We do not reproduce anyone’s ranking set, and we never state an analyst’s position from memory. If the desk cannot source a position on a given run, it writes nothing rather than paraphrasing one.
