White fits Daniels, but it is a committee

Rachaad White signed a one year deal with the Commanders, reuniting with his Arizona State teammate Jayden Daniels, and early camp reports have been glowing. He is one of the better pass protecting backs in the league, which should keep him on the field on passing downs. The catch is the room: Washington also has Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jerome Ford. Bid a modest RB3 price for the PPR floor, and do not chase the buzz past that.

Fade Nabers at his current price

Malik Nabers tore his ACL and meniscus early last season and underwent a second cleanup procedure on the same knee this offseason. Adam Schefter called a Week 1 return ambitious even as Giants GM Joe Schoen says he expects Nabers to be fine for the opener. His mid third round ADP still prices in close to a full season. Fade him at that cost, and only bid if the room lets him slide a round or two into true discount territory.

Olave is cleared, buy before the discount closes

Chris Olave has been medically cleared after the blood clot that ended his 2025 season, is set to come off blood thinners before camp, and the Saints report the recovery is going exactly as planned. He finished 2025 strong and profiles as a locked in WR1 for 2026, yet plenty of rooms will still price in health risk. Buy at his current second or third round level before a clean camp erases the discount.

Wait on Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL and LCL in mid December, and while his rehab is reportedly on schedule and his stated goal is Week 1 with no restrictions, nine month ACL timelines leave no margin for setbacks. Drafters are still paying a low end QB1 price. In auctions, let someone else absorb that risk, or cap your bid well below his sticker price and pair him with a safe starter you can open the season with.

Pay up for Smith-Njigba

Jaxon Smith-Njigba commanded a 35.7 percent target share on 162 targets in 2025, with elite efficiency across the board, and Seattle added no serious competition for that volume. He now costs a first round pick and ranks alongside Ja'Marr Chase and Puka Nacua at the top of WR boards. In an auction, pay the elite WR price. Volume this concentrated is the safest asset at the position.
