Charbonnet fade, Price buy

Zach Charbonnet tore his ACL in Seattle's Jan. 17 divisional round win and had surgery Feb. 20. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported in late July that Charbonnet is progressing well, but a realistic return sits closer to mid October than Week 1. Seattle spent the final pick of round one on Notre Dame's Jadarian Price, who now opens camp with a clear path to early season work. Fade Charbonnet at anything close to last year's price and buy Price as a value play in the Seattle backfield.

LaPorta buy if healthy

Sam LaPorta's 2025 season ended in Week 10 with a back injury that required surgery, but the Lions tight end is expected to be fully ready when camp opens. The baseline expectation is a normal ramp, not a lingering issue. Buy him at his usual TE price once early camp reports confirm he is moving well, rather than paying a discount that may not be there.

Wilson value target

Garrett Wilson is going in the WR15 to WR19 range this summer even though he posted 147, 168 and 154 targets across his three healthy Jets seasons, and he was on a similar pace before last year's knee injury cut his season short. The market is pricing in New York's offensive dysfunction more than it is pricing in Wilson's proven target floor. That gap makes him a value at his current auction price.

Metcalf target risk

DK Metcalf joined the Steelers last year as their clear top receiver, but Pittsburgh added Michael Pittman Jr. this offseason, which threatens to cut into Metcalf's target share. Shave a few dollars off any bid built on last year's usage until camp reports clarify how Pittsburgh splits the targets.

Love is Cardinals RB1

Arizona took Notre Dame's Jeremiyah Love with the third overall pick, the highest a running back has gone since Saquon Barkley in 2018. Love averaged 6.9 yards per carry in each of his last two college seasons with 17 and 18 rushing touchdowns. He profiles as an immediate lead back in Arizona's offense, and that workload is worth paying up for on auction night.

Johnson late round dart

Chiefs fifth round pick Emmett Johnson led the FBS in all purpose yards per game last season and earned Big Ten Running Back of the Year honors at Nebraska. Head coach Andy Reid has compared his lateral quickness to LeSean McCoy. His path to snaps still runs through pass protection and special teams, but he is a cheap late round dart worth a dollar in deeper leagues.
