Where the market sees a player the rankings do not
A sportsbook prices a player with money it has to pay out, and corrects in public when it is wrong. A ranking does neither. Most of the time the two land in the same place, and that agreement is worth nothing to you. This page is the rest: the players the two boards rate furthest apart, in both directions, with the numbers behind each gap.

Reading the two boards…
What counts as a disagreement
Not every gap is worth printing. A player reaches this page only when the two boards are at least six rank slots apart and at least a quarter of the better of the two ranks apart, and only when the better of the two is inside the range somebody would actually start at his position. That second test is what keeps the page honest: two boards arguing about the RB58 and the RB74 are not arguing about anything, and a gap of six slots means something very different at the top of a position than at the bottom of it.
How to use it
- A gap is a tiebreaker, not a mandate. It settles a start/sit between two players you already rate closely. It is not a reason to bench somebody you rate clearly higher.
- Read the basis before the number. A gap built on a posted player prop is a quote. A gap built on a fitted team rating is a model reading a fixture no book has priced yet, and it is graded low for that reason.
- Both directions matter. The market rating a player lower than the consensus is the same information, and it is the one people ignore, because a fade is harder to act on than a buy.
- Nothing here is a wager. These are two projections of fantasy points, compared. The odds are an input to a projection, not a bet slip.
