What has actually been played

Every other board on this site is a forecast. This one is not. It is the season as it has been played — the weekly stat lines and snap counts, accumulated week by week and scored at the setting you choose. Nothing here is modeled, blended or shrunk, and no odds touch it.

Why a stats page sits beside the rankings

A ranking is an argument about the weeks ahead. A stat line is a record of the weeks behind. They answer different questions, and the mistake worth avoiding is treating either as the other: a receiver who has scored on a quarter of his catches has a real number on this page and an unrepeatable one, and a back with sixty carries and no touchdowns has the opposite problem. Read this page for what a player has been given — targets, carries, snaps — and read the rankings for what he is likely to do with it next.

Last season, on the same board

The season buttons switch the whole board between the season being played and the one before it. Last year’s is the finished article — every regular-season week, the same usage columns, scored at the same setting you picked here — so a three-game sample and a full eighteen-week record can be read side by side without leaving the page. It is the honest way to ask whether a fast start is new: put last year next to it. The week view on a finished season is each player’s final week rather than the league’s latest.

Where the numbers come from

Weekly stat lines and snap counts come from nflverse, refreshed after each week’s games are final, and are accumulated here week by week. Last season is pulled from the same feed and kept whole, because a finished season does not change. Points are computed at the scoring you pick rather than stored, so the same underlying line serves a standard league and a full-PPR one. A player whose season line has not been published yet shows a dash rather than a zero, because those two say very different things.
